Phoenetia was born on April 22nd, 1994 to Dave Browne and the late Andrea Charles-Browne, and is sister to Daveda, Andrae, Ezer and Angelena Browne. She grew up in Lodge Project, St. Kitts.

She moved to the US with her family at the age of 7 and settled in Piscataway, NJ, where she discovered her love of football. She excelled both academically and athletically, earning awards like the Somerset County Scholar-Athlete award, FC Copa’s Outstanding Senior and Future Ambassador award, RPS Girls’ Soccer MVP and Coaches awards, and was consistently on the honor roll.

At age 15, Phoenetia officially began playing with the U20 and Senior women’s national teams. During her time as team captain (2018-2021) she was able to lead the team to the CONCACAF Olympic Qualifying Championship (final 8) for the first time ever, after defeating Trinidad and Tobago to top the group and go on to the final round.

From 2011-2015, Phoenetia attended Columbia University in New York City where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Architecture and was a Division 1 student-athlete (women’s soccer). In 2016, she completed her Master of Science in Civil Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, concluding her collegiate soccer career with the Texas Longhorns.

After graduation, she worked as an Assistant women’s soccer coach at the University of St. Elizabeth and an assistant engineer at Turner Construction in NYC. After a few months at Turner she decided she was not done with football and took an opportunity to play professionally for UMF Sindri in Iceland. She was selected in the 2017 1. Deild Kvenna Team of the Year, earned a player of the year nomination and was second in the league in goals scored.

She moved on to play in France, Romania, Finland, Iceland and Germany. She is now back in France playing with AS Saint-Etienne for a second season.

She founded Play More Live Better (PMLB) Recruiting Services in 2019, with the mission of guiding student-athletes in the Caribbean through the process of becoming student-athletes at colleges/universities abroad. She is a founder of the MPWR Girls Football Camp which aims to introduce young girls in SKN to football in a fun and challenging environment. The first edition took place in July 2022, and it has run successfully for two consecutive years.
